Hurstville City Council has selected SPM to undertake a property survey and AMP.
Through a competitive process, Hurstville has selected SPM to undertake a condition and performance assessment of 56 buildings using both the SPM Assets software and aligned with the IPWEA/NAMS Practice Note 3.
SPM will also be developing an Asset Management Plan based on the requirements of NSW State Government's Integrated Planning and Reporting requirements. Where SPM has undertaken many of these types of projects in the past, this is the first project of this type for a New South Wales based Council.
The full project including the production of the AMP will be completed by the end of March this year. Hurstville will then be in a position to benchmark and compare information on their buildings with a number of other similar organisations throughout New Zealand and other Australian states. |

Vector Arena has confirmed its intention to licence SPM Assets to support its asset management and planning activities.
It will use the application to undertake lifecycle planning and support decision making for both building and specialist assets, e.g. audio visual equipment, lighting and plant.
SPM has previously assisted Vector Arena to produce and then update an asset management plan and has recently conducted condition and performance surveys of the facilities.

Manukau Technical Institute (MIT) has engaged SPM Consultants to assist with the implementation of an asset management system improvement programme.
The planned activities will further develop existing planning and reporting processes, improve the quality of asset information, and result in the development of an asset management plan.
The improvement programme is aligned with the TEC Capital Asset Management Framework and, therefore, the government's broader CAM planning and reporting requirements.

SPM Consultants has recently completed the development of a Capital Asset Management (CAM) Standard for the Tertiary Education Commission (TEC).
The project required the development of the Standard for Institutes of Technology and Polytechnics (ITPs) with a view to identifying improvements towards implementing good business practices.
SPM also conducted an assessment of ITPs against the Standard using SPM GAP, and produced tailored improvement plans for each organisation to identify potential areas of focus for improvement activities. SPM is now working with the TEC to finalise a set of templates and tools to support the implementation of the Standard and the associated planning processes. |
