The Auckland War Memorial Museum has selected SPM to prepare an Asset Management Plan to accurately record the condition of its building assets and to forecast the timing and cost of future asset renewals so it may justify asset expenditure requirements to its external stakeholders.
The project includes the licensing of SPM's web-based asset management planning software application, SPM Property, which will be used to hold condition data on the Museum's building and heritage assets in order that the required detailed levels of analysis may be undertaken. Furthermore, the software provides the platform for the Museum to maximise its investment in adopting an asset management planning framework by serving as a base for future maintenance planning.
Commenting on the project, Roger Jameson, SPM General Manager Sales and Marketing, said, "We are delighted to be working with the Auckland War Memorial Museum on this project in view of the unique nature of its asset base and the levels of service which need to be considered. This project will utilise SPM's proven thought leadership in asset management planning with the delivery of a total solution incorporating our professional consulting services and our proven software applications which are being used by an increasing number of customers in New Zealand and Australia - a key differentiator when compared to other companies working in this sector." |
