SPM is supporting Spotless NZ with the implementation of a strategic asset management solution for the first ever regional DHB integrated services contract.

CentralAlliance, a collaboration between MidCentral District Health Board and Whanganui District Health Board, has selected Spotless NZ to provide an integrated non-clinical services solution, covering 21 service lines. This contract is the first of its kind in New Zealand.

An integral part of the Facilities Management services is the establishment of an integrated approach to strategic asset management that incorporates both the individual DHB specific planning and reporting requirements, and the broader government Capital Asset Management requirements. Spotless has adopted the SPM 7 Point Asset Management Framework to address this requirement.

Spotless will also use SPM’s suite of software applications and decision support tools. It will use SPM Asset and SPM Mobile to survey over 80 buildings and approx 160,000 square meters across Mid Central and Whanganui DHBs facilities. It will also audit clinical assets and fixed plant and equipment using SPM Reconcile software, and will use SPM Projects in the future to capture and manage the long term capital programme for both DHBs.

The outcomes of the process will produce reliable long term investment profiles and clear evidence based capital requirements consistent with government expectations.
