Taupo District Council selects SPM

Taupo District Council has selected SPM to undertake condition assessments of its community facilities. The project will run through September and October, and involves the assessment of buildings and systems, and uploading the associated data into SPM Property. Taupo District Council is a licensed user of SPM Property and the project will largely complete the capture of its public and community buildings within the system.

SPM will use a combination of on-site surveys and desktop assessments to produce the associated data models. The associated information will then be used to provide council with a 20 year forecast of asset renewals, reflecting in terms of timing and cost to allow for medium and long term asset management planning. It will also be used to support business case development and decision making for a number of future council projects.

Commenting on the project, David Long, SPM General Manager - New Zealand, said, "We are delighted to be working with Taupo District Council again to complete the capture of building information and to use the more advanced analytical tools available within SPM Property. This project is a fantastic example of the unique One SPM approach - combining our specialist consulting team with high-end analytical software applications".
